What will the Chinese New Year 2023 of the Water Rabbit bring?

Čínský rok vodního Zajíce

The year 2022 according to the Gregorian calendar is already over. This magical "number 6" was the number of harmony, justice and balance, but also of purification, consolidation and cleansing of interpersonal relationships. Relationships were important, whether family, partner or work. A lot of things crystallized, cleared and balanced last year.

Traditionally, with the new year came some New Year's resolutions. One has the feeling that everything old is being erased and one is starting from 0. Although this is only an assumption, the rhythm of life according to the Gregorian calendar is already somehow established - it is set and coded in our lifes, and most of us act accordingly. Energetically, some of you may be closer to the Chinese calendar, as it is to us.

Last year brought cleansing and inevitable changes

According to Chinese astrology, the year 2022 was ruled by the Water Tiger, full of strength and energy, impulsive, bold, enterprising steps that suddenly flowed and spilled into all corners like water. It started exactly on February 4, 2022, and due to the yang energy that the water contained, it brought inevitable and sudden changes, cleansing consequences. The cleansing took place across all of us, all of society and everything, at the most basic level. We've had one of the most challenging years behind us, but it brought and showed us a lot. We can compare it to a big water that suddenly came, swept away and cleaned everything bad, stale, undesirable.

We mentioned at the beginning of last year that it was going to be a very strong year and that it was going to be a ride! And it was, with everything. The year 2023, which we are at the bennining of (starts exactly on January 22, 2023), should be a year that is milder, lighter, more joyful, more spiritual, more cheerful, more fertile and generally calmer. The cleansing will still take place, as the year 2023 will be under the rule of the Water Rabbit, but this time with a yin, gentler energy. It will be about the so-called cleaning up of everything and everyone and preparation for the seeds of the new, which should touch us all in the years to come.

Focus on yourself

While the Year of the Tiger was a hectic year that required a lot of effort to achieve success, the Year of the Water Rabbit with its yin quality will be a much less turbulent time.

We all benefit from a more relaxed pace. It is advisable to focus on self-reflection, own mental development and achieving balance. It will be the most suitable period for searching for wisdom, understanding yourself and the essence of living.

Rejoice with your loved ones

The Rabbit wishes for family relationships and the development of hobbies. It is a sign of intuition, gentleness and calmness, but also of indecision and mystery. The Rabbit tends to influence those people who are too attracted to comfort, so they forget the value of responsibility. We will tend to put off things we don't like doing as long as we can. It will be possible to earn money more easily, but you need to keep yourself in check and not be self-indulgent and lazy. 2023 will simply be a year we all welcome with open arms. We need to retreat to a quiet and peaceful place to heal and calm down after all we've been through in 2022.

Happy Rabbit, happy year

In Chinese astrology, the Rabbit is considered the luckiest of the twelve zodiac animals. It represents forgiveness, grace and beauty. During the year of the Water Rabbit 2023, which has officially begun on January 22, 2023, the life of every zodiac sign will change. While some will get out of the problems they had in 2022, others will have to prepare for difficulties and accidents as part of the cleanup. In general, however, a very nice, joyful and favorable New Year awaits us. So take some more time for self-reflection and reflection and get ready for a HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Hello, welcome to our place :)

My name is Petra and I am the mom of the Yoggys brand and the Yoga Store project. I love yoga in its whole concept, because it knows no boundaries, but thanks to it, you know your limits. It connects everyone and everything. It will give you space to move on and work on yourself. Thanks to her, you will recognize the unknown and gain a completely different perspective on life. I love my family, my work, wise people and books, travel and life. I love movement and meditation in movement, a healthy way of living, knowledge and life experiences. Last but not least, I love to pass all of this on, either as a yoga instructor at our stays, or here on the blog, where I try to occasionally contribute some nice article from my point of view. I firmly believe that you will benefit from my writing. If you are interested in anything, write to petra@yoggys.cz

With love Petra
